The other day I posted about Pollyanna and her Glad game. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I wanted to take more time to appreciate the blessings in my life. Instead of just showing gratitude on one day I wanted to acknowledge my blessing the few weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.
I thought it would be fun to see what other people are grateful for. So these past couples of days I just have been going to local parks and talking to peeps about what they were grateful for. It has been cool to see the different responses from these strangers, and it has made me even more aware of all that there is to appreciate in life.
There are 18 days until Thanksgiving, and for next 18 days, I will be posting on Instagram what my new friends are grateful for. So make sure to follow me to see all my new park friends.
The 18 day challenge is really very simple its just to write down for one minute a day what you are grateful for.
As I thought today about what I am grateful for I thought of the great state of Utah. I really appreciate living in Utah so much more after being in Alaska. Alaska was beautiful and green but I love my Utah Mountains. I love the Red Rocks and Lake Powell and Bear Lake are tied for my favorite lakes in Utah. The Utah song really sums up this great state the best by saying “Utah what a great place to be”.
I hope you have fun doing this challenge with me and here are some other quotes I found on Gratitude.
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
– Eckhart Tolle
“Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am grateful that thorns have roses.”
– Alphonse Karr
“Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals.
If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.”
– Roy Bennett
